Matthew Bailey was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. His experiences growing up led him to believe in the importance of giving back to his community in many different ways.
Matthew attended Virgil I. Grissom High School in Huntsville, AL and the University of Alabama for undergrad. In undergrad, he graduated with a major in political science with minors in history and liberal arts while also graduating from the Honors College.
For law school, Mr. Bailey graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law, after receiving a Certificate in Public Interest Law, Order of Samaritan Award, Dean’s Community Service Award, and admission to the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society.
During law school, Mr. Bailey worked as a research assistant that focused on Constitutional Law issues and interned at the Community Law Office - Jefferson County Public Defender’s Office for a year and a half. It was during this time that he developed a passion for protecting the rights of Birmingham citizens from any overreach.
Matthew’s passion for protecting the less privileged in society led to him wanting to become a lawyer and his interest in criminal and appellate law. Mr. Bailey is an outspoken advocate in favor of those who are taken advantage of and believes that it is his duty as an American to ensure that they are given the best representation possible. Mr. Bailey believes that these convictions and his education make him a strong advocate for all of his clients at the Revill Law Firm.
